Tuqtuli heads towards becoming a new internationally used and acknowledged way of communication. In the future, everyone shall be able to tuqtuli.
Actually, we all know already how to tuqtuli – provided we are open to other people’s ways of seeing things. However, being somewhat familiar with it helps to communicate even more successfully in this way.
The heart of the project is to collectively develop a basic repertoire of visual vocabulary and a basic pictogrammar to be used in iconversations. It is in the nature of this participatory art project to travel the world and be embraced, further thought and developed by people in its places of use.
Tuqtuli is looking forward to expanding globally in a cascade-like manner. In the course of this symbols, signs, pictograms and icons from different languages, sociotopes, professions, generations, regions and religions are going to be collected as intangible cultural heritage.
Nurturing everyone’s creativity is of high importance for tuqtuli. Such is encouraging self-confidence to express individual views and needs.
Tuqtuli wants to bring together the most different people in playful way, fostering a sense of connectedness. It seeks to promote inclusion and integration and ultimately to propel world peace.
